Najla Al-Saleem

Najla AlSaleem is a Saudi artist who was born in Riyadh, and is currently based there. She is the daughter of the late artist Mohammad Al-Saleem – one of the pioneers in the country. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts from the University of Michigan, USA. She has participated in numerous exhibitions, including: Saudi Cultural Week in 2010; exhibitions at Saudi Aramco’s Summer Festivals in Dhahran in 2010 and 2011; the First Scitech Arts Exhibition at the Sultan Bin Abdulaziz Center for Sciences and Technology in 2010; the 4th al-Kharafi International Biennial for Arab Contemporary Art in 2010; the Saudi Cultural Week at Algeria; Al-Waaidat Exhibition, Jeddah; the Exhibition for Contemporary Saudi Art; Janadriyya 15; the Riyadh as Capital for Culture Exhibition in 2001; the Honorary Exhibition for Mohammad Salim; the 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th, and 7th Alwan Collective Group Exhibitions from 2004 to 2009; the Saudi Cultural Days Exhibitions in Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan in 2007; the 2008 Bangladesh Biennale; and the 2010 Saudi Cultural Week in Kazakhstan.
