Abdulrahman Soliman is a Saudi artist and author who currently resides in Dammam. He recently published, “The March of Saudi Art,” an examination of Saudi art, and has contributed articles to a number of magazines and newspapers. Soliman has also been the Fine Arts Editor for Al Yaum Newspaper since 1983, and also writes a weekly column in Jazirah newspaper. This piece is part of the exhibition, “Fossils: In Presence & Absence” which transported Soliman’s audience back to his childhood. The exhibition was an attempt to connect Soliman’s childhood with the present by highlighting transformative events of his life though his paintings.
