Mashael Al-Atawi

Masheal Al-Atawi, a distinguished member of the Saudi Society for Fine Arts, has left an indelible mark on the art scenes of Jeddah and Riyadh with several notable participations. Drawn to the abstract school of art, she finds inspiration in its unbridled creativity, allowing for absolute expression of the moment and emotion. In her upcoming exhibition, "عزلة ظل" (Shadows in Solitude), Masheal Al-Atawi navigates the flow of absence, deliberately avoiding visibility, enhancing harmony with the shadows. Dissolving between the moment and emotion, the profound darkness veils and deals with isolation with an almost reverent touch. Mashaal masterfully engages with solitude, infusing sanctity into seclusion, intimately weaving with the shadows. The resulting artworks emanate a majestic presence, a residue from the past settling on the edge of a tale of shadowed isolation.
