Panos Tsagaris (b. 1979, Athens, Greece) is an interdisciplinary artist currently residing and working in New York. He obtained a BFA in 2004 from the Emily Carr Institute of Art & Design in Vancouver, Canada. Tsagaris' artistic practice is deeply rooted in his fascination with the spiritual and mystical dimensions. Guided by key philosophical first edition texts, he delves into the exploration of spiritual concepts of transformation found in various esoteric traditions and mythologies. At the core of his work lies the investigation of self-transformative processes and their manifestation in contemporary life, within the global socio-political context, both at the individual and collective levels. Tsagaris aims to capture the delicate connection between the seen and the unseen, the conscious and the unconscious, and the material and immaterial aspects of existence. Through his art, he provides visual insights into the enduring presence and value of change and impermanence.
