The Institut du Monde Arabe: 25 Years of Arab Creativity’

Gallery Naila was honoured to host 25 Years of Arab Creativity, a landmark exhibition presented in collaboration with the Institut du Monde Arabe (IMA), Paris, one of the world's leading institutions dedicated to Arab arts, culture, and civilisation.

Originally conceived and organised by the Institut du Monde Arabe in Paris to celebrate its 25th anniversary, the exhibition brought together an exceptional selection of works by some of the Arab world's most distinguished contemporary artists. Following its presentation in Paris and Abu Dhabi, Gallery Naila welcomed the exhibition to Riyadh in 2013, introducing Saudi audiences to a remarkable collection that reflected the richness, diversity, and evolution of modern Arab artistic practice.

The exhibition explored the cultural, social, and artistic transformations that have shaped the Arab world through painting, sculpture, mixed media, and other contemporary artistic expressions. Each work offered a unique perspective on identity, memory, heritage, and modern life, highlighting the diversity of artistic voices across the region.

Hosting this internationally recognised exhibition marked an important milestone in Gallery Naila's journey and reaffirmed its commitment to creating meaningful cultural dialogue through international partnerships. The collaboration with the Institut du Monde Arabe reflected a shared vision of strengthening artistic exchange and building lasting connections between Saudi Arabia and the global cultural community.

Today, this exhibition remains one of the defining moments in Gallery Naila's history, demonstrating our long-standing commitment to presenting world-class exhibitions and contributing to the development of Saudi Arabia's contemporary art landscape.
